Hotel
Tjampuhan & Spa built in 1928 for guests of the Prince
of Ubud, The Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa came to prominence
in 1934 when it became the starting point for Pita Maha,
an artists' association founded by Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati
and the noted Western artists Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet.
Recently
renovated and extended under the supervision of the Royal
Family, the Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa continues the dream
of Pita Maha by maintaining a sacred, private retreat surrounded
by immense natural beauty. The heart of the Hotel Tjampuhan
& Spa is the former home of Walter Spies, offering comfort
and seclusion with excellent facilities, supplemented by
a choice if air-conditioned or fan-cooled rooms.
